Street Photography by Carlos Ivan Espinal

Street Photography in the New York City High Line was a little challenging for me because most of the time you only had one chance to take the perfect photograph. In our previous trips we had the opportunity to take several shots of the same subject but this time that was not the case, so it was a whole new experience. It was a very cloudy and rainy day in New York City that day so I had to set up my ISO to 1600 and my EV to 0. My favorite photograph from this trip is the photo of a man taking a photo of the view. I waited in the same spot for about 5 minutes for someone to stand in the ring spot for me to take the photograph.  The man knew about photography so he was standing in the perfect spot for his own photograph and that created perfect valance for my photo. The second photo  I chose was a snap shot but it happened to be a very good photograph. I was just walking down the streets and  I decided to take random photographs and this one  just simply happened to be a very good photo. Though street photography was challenging, it was a great experience and I learned something new.
