Exposure compensation Carlos Espinal

Our assignment on Monday was to experiment with the EV (exposure values) of our cameras. When I took the first photograph I realized that the image was too dark. I was using an Ev of -1 so I decided to increase the EV to 0. My camera Increased the EV to 0 by decreasing the speed of the shutter from 1/250s to 1/200s and making the aperture more wide from f8 to f6.3. When I took the photograph with the EV of 0 it looked perfect but I had to take more photos using one more exposure value  in order to complete the assignment so I increased the EV to +1. My camera decreased the speed of the shutter from 1/200s to 1/80s and made the aperture more wider from f6.3 to f5.6 to achieve the exposure value of +1. EV of +1 was to bright, so bright that my subject looked out of focus. -1EV was too dark, +1EV was to bright and 0EV was perfect. I am not surprised that this was the outcome of this exercise because I know that the optimal exposure value for my camera is 0EV.
